The Universe works in patterns. Chaotic and irregular on the surface, but as you move closer or further, depending on the subject, an underlying order emerges. Geometrical shapes, repeating patterns fascinate me as a photography student. They occur naturally, and we design them. Our mind somehow seem to be designed to capture geometry in nature.
Ancient Greeks sought perfection in geometry and used the language of mathematics to express it and codify it. Familiar geometry appears on stained glass windows of cathedrals, hypnotic repeating patterns of mosques and magnificent temple complexes like Angkor Wat. No matter which school of thought you belong to, the Universe does not discriminate. The true seekers of every persuasion eventually end up discovering the same mystical geometry.
